Dong Thap province has donated US$100,000 to build a school for Vietnamese children in Prek Sai Kho, Prey Veng, Cambodia.

The school, to be built on an area of 1,500 sq.m, will comprise two classrooms, one boardroom and one room for teachers. A communal cultural house will be built later.
Pupils will study in Vietnamese and follow the curriculum of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.
There are around 3,000 Vietnamese families in Prey Veng.
Lai Xuan Chien, Vietnamese minister counsellor in Cambodia, said that building the school meets the demand for methodical study of Vietnamese pupils and contributes to strengthening solidarity and cooperation between the two countries.
A representative from the Vietnamese Federation in Cambodia said construction of the school will be completed in the next five months to receive pupils for the 2012-2013 academic year.
