Flower festival to welcome the New Year in Ha Noi

 A giant picture of Khue Van Cac (Pavillon of the Constellation of Literature) made of thousands of dry flowers will be featured at the 2012 Flower Festival which begins on the evening of December 30 to celebrate the New Year.

The actual pavilion is located within of the Temple of Literature in Ha Noi.

The festival entitled Ha Noi, Rendez-vous of Streets and Flowers, will be organised along Dinh Tien Hoang Street with the contributions of skilful artisans from throughout the nation. Artisan Manh Hung will create another picture from flowers, Huyen Thoai Viet Nam (The Legend of Viet Nam), which will tell the story of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the creators of the Vietnamese people.

The Embassy of Holland in Viet Nam, who is sponsoring the event, will offer the festival 4625 pots of lilies.

The festival will end on January 2, 2012.
