PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has recently agreed with a proposal that Việt Nam is to organize the 4th ASEM Labor and Employment Ministers’ Conference in 2012.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to build a plan for hosting the event and submit it to his approval in second quarter of 2011.

The third of such conference was held on December 13-14 in Leiden, the Netherlands, with the adoption of Leiden Declaration, highlighting the necessity of applying an appropriate employment policy and social welfare for all people with the aim to minimize negative impacts of the global financial crisis and ensure sustainable growth.

Leiden Declaration also calls upon ASEM members to strengthen social security system, education, vocational training and working skills./.
