An exhibition by photographer Nguyen Duy Phuong entitled “One Corner of France” will be on show at the French Cultural Centre L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi, from February 1-28.

This exhibition is based on two of his previous shows in France in 2008 and 2010: a collection of portraits that had been displayed earlier in Vietnam and one called “My Experience of France” depicting his feelings about the beauty of how the light changes according to the season.

Duy Phuong says the French portraits he brought to Vietnam are “the way I see my country through that experience”. He said that they express his feelings towards the beauty of the light, as well as his reflections on loneliness and silence.

In addition to the portraits on the screen, there are also photographs on alumec that reflect a sensitive eye.

After attending the National Photography University of Arles (France) in 2008, Duy Phuong had an exhibition of his work in October 2009 at the well known Quai Brandly Museum in France in a show entitled “Photoquai – the Meeting of Perspectives”.
