The family of a contestant said that the producer had arranged the show, the jury is said to be “acting” too much. The Vietnam’s Got Talent, the first season, has stirred up the public when the first round is on the air.

Jury member Thuy Hanh runs to the stage to hug Nguyen Hoang Anh, 8, from Hai Phong after the boy sang “Little Frog” and danced in Michael Jackson style.

The show has attracted the public since its first episodes were broadcast. However, the show has become a hot topic on the media and the Internet after the latest episode, aired last Sunday.

In this episode, the mother of a 15-year-old contestant – Le Nguyen Quynh Anh – “robbed” the microphone to protest the jury on the stage. She said that her daughter is more talented than many other contestants, but the jury rejected the girl.

This case has immediately become a hot topic on the local media and online forums. Many people criticized the 15-year-old contestant and her family of “deluding themselves”. Many others showed their sympathy to the schoolgirl, saying that the mother feeds her daughter on illusions.

The mother, named Ngo, told the media that the show producer and the organizing board arranged the show for commercial purposes at to attract the audience. She said that the director arranged the show, told her and her daughter what to wear and to say.

“I’m sympathetic with Quynh Anh’s mother when she places her hope on her daughter. But parents should not cherish their children with illusion,” said jury member, former model Thuy Hanh. Hanh affirmed that there is no arrangement in the last episode, the 7th.

The previous episodes of Vietnam’s Got Talent 2012 are commented to have arrangement in jury members’ attitude, which was “excessive.”

In the third episode, the audience was surprised by the jury members’ feeling for the performance by a boy from Hai Phong, who had been well-known for singing “My Heart Will Go On” on YouTube. The online community commented that the boy’s show was eye-catching but it was not too good that jury members had to be wet with tears.

In another episode, jury member Thuy Hanh ran to the stage to hug Nguyen Hoang Anh, 8, from Hai Phong after the boy sang “Little Frog” and danced in Michael Jackson style. “Thuy Hanh is a jurywoman, not a contestant but she acts too much!” once wrote on an online forum.

Thuy Hanh explained: “I ensure that we obey the show format. Our feeling is true feeling. There is no arrangement.”

“Perhaps this is the first time this show appears in Vietnam, so the audience are not familiar to its format. I hope that the audience will see it more objectively in the next seasons,” she added.
