The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center predicts that the present cold front across the entire northern areas of Vietnam will also cool temperatures in the rest of the country.

Since Friday, mercury levels have fallen to 10-15 degrees Celsius in most of the northern provinces and below 5 degrees in the mountainous areas.
The central region will experience some rain and temperatures are expected to slide down to 13 degrees Celsius.
Chilling conditions up north are affecting Ho Chi Minh City, where temperatures have dropped to as low as 20 degrees during night time and early morning.
Soon after the tropical depression weakened, storm ‘Washi’ has built up in southern Philippines on Friday.
The storm is forecast to move west and northwestward at 20-25 kilometers an hour and enter the East Sea by this weekend.
Since Saturday afternoon, southern and mid East Sea will remain rough and choppy with strong winds.
