Ben Do is the only floating fish market in Cam Pha town, Quang Ninh province. This market only opens for two hours in the early morning. Most of traders are women.
Going to the sea is men’s job, selling fish is women’s job.
Women go to this market to sell and buy fish.
Nguyen Ngoc Tu (striped shirt) has been a familiar customer at this floating market for four years. She buys fresh seafood for her restaurant.
During the stormy season, the market only has small fish, small shrimp and small rays.
The prices also increase.

Dinh Thi Ngoc has sold seafood here for many years. Today she and her husband go to the market. She sells fish and her husband collects money.
This is a floating market so some customers have to pay 10,000-15,000 for boat service to go to the market.
Many people buy seafood from this market to sell at other markets on the shore.
