Ten days after Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung released the conclusion on the Tien Lang land withdrawal case, Hai Phong authorities have revoked the decision on taking back Mr. Doan Van Vuon’s land.

The city has also set up a council to assess Mr. Vuon’s assets at the request of the local police agency.
The Hai Phong Party Committee’s Inspection Board is inspecting the involvement of some Party members in the case.
The local police department is investigating the case of “murder and oppose law enforcing officers” and the destruction of Vuon’s house.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tien Lang District is checking the management and use of alluvial grounds in Vinh Quang commune. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Department of Tien Lang is also reviewing the aquacultural areas in the commune.
On February 16, the Party cell of Hai Phong People’s Court considered mistakes of teams and individuals who were related to the suspension of judging the Tien Lang case in the second instance. At the same time, the People’s Court of Tien Lang defined the responsibility of teams and individuals in judging the Tien Lang case in the first instance.
On February 11, one day after the PM made his conclusion on the land revocation case, Hai Phong authorities suspended some top officials of Tien Lang district for 15 days for reviewing their responsibility in the land revocation.
