Till January 31, 2012, Vietnam Securities Depository Centre (VSD) has granted securities transaction codes for 15,589 foreign investors, including 1,741 institutional investors and 13,848 individual investors.
In January alone, there have been additional 20 foreign investors receiving transaction codes, including 17 institutions and three individuals.
In comparison with January 2011, the account volume of foreign investors decreased up to 70 percent, of which, the account volume of individual investors saw a year-onyear fall of up to 95 percent.
